SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities
Sustainable Development Goal 10 (SDG 10) aims to reduce inequality within and among countries. Economic, social, political, or cultural inequality remains a major barrier to sustainable development. SDG 10 emphasises the need to ensure equal opportunities, eliminate discriminatory laws and practices, empower marginalised populations, and promote the inclusion of all, regardless of age, gender, disability, ethnicity, origin, religion, or economic status.
SDG 10 Matters for NTYCO
NTYCO has consistently worked to challenge inequality and promote inclusion, particularly for Afghan youth, women, and marginalised communities whose rights have been severely restricted. Through advocacy, capacity-building, and innovative programs, NTYCO strives to create a society where every voice counts and no one is left behind.
Inequality has been at the core of Afghanistan’s challenges for decades, whether through gender discrimination, ethnic marginalisation, or political exclusion. NTYCO directly addresses these issues by empowering women and youth, expanding access to education, and advocating for justice and accountability.
By aligning with SDG 10, NTYCO ensures that its mission of building an inclusive, fair, and just society extends from local Afghan communities to the international arena.
